PM Asks Relevant Institutions to Prepare Enough Effective Anti-Covid-19 Medicine

PHNOM PENH: The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Sen, expressed his concern about the spread of Covid-19's disease in the Cambodian community by instructing the relevant ministries, institutions and citizens to implement health measures to vaccinate, educate, promote and find adequate and encouraging medicine, reduce the number of gatherings.

In the circular on the night of February, 17th, Prime Minister Hun Sen said that this is to ensure full socio-economic activity in all areas and to continue to ensure the effectiveness of the implementation of measures to prevent and prevent the spread. Of Covid-19 virus, especially the new mutant virus, Omicron.

He also ordered the search for relevant mechanisms to continue efforts to find effective drugs for the treatment of Covid-19, both mild and severe, and to ensure that the drugs are insufficient stock to respond timely, as well as ensuring the supply and distribution of effective drugs to treat Covid-19 adequately and comprehensively at an affordable price to the public. At the same time, relevant mechanisms need to be put in place to establish clear guidelines and widely publicize the use of Covid-19 medicine to ensure the effectiveness and safety of those drugs.

For Gathering and Meetings, Prime Minister encourage the general public and organizers of gatherings or other social activities, such as religious programs, traditional programs, sports or entertainment programs, to reduce the number of participants to a minimum to ensure the implementation of individual and social safety gaps in accordance with the actual situation of each program location. At the same time, organizers of social gatherings or social events, as well as all program participants, are encouraged to use the Covid-19 test kit and check the Covid-19 vaccination card before the program as a precautionary measure against infection of Covid-19 virus.
